Pussycat Dolls’ lead singer Nicole Scherzinger and U.K. singer Jay Sean are reportedly working on a duet together. In a video on Ustream recorded in Miami earlier this week, the two hinted that something big is about to happen, though they did not specify what.

There is speculation that the pair is crafting a joint track for Scherzinger’s long-awaited solo album. The album has been in production since 2006 and previously carried the title of Her Name Is Nicole, which, according to Celebrity-Mania.com, has since been discarded.

The 31-year-old has released several singles from the project, including “Whatever U Like”, “Baby Love”, “Puakenikeni” and “Supervillain.”

Whether or not the song she is working on with Sean will be a new single or the first installment on her long-awaited solo album has yet to be revealed.

The Pussycat Dolls star’s boyfriend, motor racing star Lewis Hamilton, currently lives in Geneva while she resides in Los Angeles and they will continue to divide their time between continents even when they have children.

Hamilton said: “Geneva is a beautiful city. I like Monte Carlo, but I prefer this. I’ve lived here for two years and think my home will be here and the States in the future. My girlfriend lives in LA, so it will probably be split between there and here. This is a great place to raise a family.”

Hamilton also revealed the couple constantly send each other picture messages on their mobile phones to help cope with lengthy periods apart.

He said: “I take pictures of everything in my life and I have a very long distance relationship, so it’s how I communicate.”

Times Of India – After A R Rahman made the American pop girl group Pussycat Dolls sing Jai Ho!, it’s Indian rapper Hard Kaur’s turn to make them sing a line or two in Hindi now.

The Brit-born Hard Kaur, who shot to fame with the song Glassy, and then went on to sing for films like Johnny Gaddaar, Ugly Aur Pagli, Singh Is Kinng, Kismet Konnection and Bachna Ae Haseeno, has been approached by the Pussycat Dolls’ agent to record a song with them for their new album.

Hard Kaur, who is also called the first female Indian rapper in India, told BT in surprise, “The agent told me that they were keeping track of my music and liked my work. I’m thrilled for sure. I already sent Pussycat Dolls the chorus I have written which goes on like ‘Move over, Hard Kaur is here’. They loved it and now we’ll be recording the song most probably in LA.”

But, she regrets she had to delay the Pussycat Dolls by almost five months because of the reality dance show she was a part of. “The video will release at the year end because I have other commitments and my US tour is coming up,” said the singer who intends to educate the Pussycat Dolls on all things Indian. “I will make them sing a few lines in Hindi, otherwise what’s the point of having a collaboration,” she asked. Hard Kaur also recently recorded a song with another American rapper Bizarre for the D12 band.

The Pussycat Dolls star – who is currently dating Formula one star Lewis Hamilton – says performing and writing songs is her priority in life.

She said: “Sex is not important to me but making love is… but music is more important. Having my relationship so much in the spotlight definitely makes things interesting.”

Nicole also revealed she has become happier over the years by not placing too much pressure on herself.

She told Britain’s Observer newspaper: “Yes, I’m happy. It’s hard because you always want the next thing; you’re always expecting so much of life and of yourself – but I’ve really learned in the past year how to be happy in the moment.”

Although she’s happy with life at the moment, Nicole has not ruled out using therapy in the future if things become too much for her.

She said: “I’ve never had it, but I’d consider it for the future, sure. I would use whatever help was available – I think we all should.”

Pussycat Doll wants to sing Philippine anthem

AP – The half-Filipino lead vocalist for the American pop group Pussycat Dolls says she wants to sing the Philippine national anthem when boxing champion Manny Pacquiao fights again.

U.S.-born Nicole Scherzinger, who is performing with three other members of the band in Manila on Thursday, told ABS-CBN television she has always been a fan of the Filipino boxer.

Junior welterweight champion Pacquiao hand-picks the singer of the national anthem at his bouts. After his latest match with Ricky Hatton in Las Vegas in May, Filipino singer Martin Nievera was criticized in the media for altering the 1898 revolutionary anthem, which by law must be played at a marching tempo.

Pacquiao has not announced whom he will fight next, or who will sing the anthem.

Ps. I’m preparing for the big Photo Gallery update, which should be online by tomorrow!

Nicole Scherzinger Reveals Britney No Show on Tour

Take40.com – The Pussycat Dolls might have done a massive tour of the United States with Britney Spears, but it seems even they are not immune to the protective detail surrounding the pop star, according to lead singer Nicole Scherzinger.

When probed on what Britney was like on tour, Nicole revealed that the band did not see Britney once through-out their nearly 2 month stint as support act on the North American leg of ‘The Circus Starring: Britney Spears’ tour.

“No, nuh-uh,” Scherzinger responded sadly.

Not a single time?

“No.”

Her reasoning comes down to the busy lives of both pop sensations.

“We have busy schedules and she does too and we go on stage at different times in different cities at different times so it’s understandable.”

Obviously Britney’s team are still very protective of the fragile star, who had a very public break-down in 2007. Britney Spears takes The Circus: Starring Britney Spears to Australia this November for her first ever tour Down Under.

Keri: Nicole Forced to Stay in The Pussycat Dolls
Posted by Alexander on Jun 24, 2009 1 Comment | Follow us on Twitter

A shocking speculation was revealed by Keri Hilson regarding what might make Nicole Scherzinger holding back her debut solo album and staying in The Pussycat Dolls. According to Keri, Nicole pursues her role as the Dolls’ lead singer because she “was kinda forced” to make such decision.

“I wrote ‘Alienated’, one of the songs on my album, for Nicole’s solo project,” Keri told Daily Star. “It was a good album but she decided to go back to the Dolls instead of releasing it, well she was kinda forced to I think.”

Relating the issue to her first studio effort which was still halfway done at that time, Keri said, “It was good situation for me.” The singer/songwriter explained further, “[because] I fell in love with that song, so I got to keep it.”

Nicole Scherzinger indeed has pushed back her solo record titled “Her Name Is Nicole” for several times. Instead, she worked on The Pussycat Dolls’ album “Doll Domination” and hit the road with her bandmates. Despite the numerous delays, Nicole insisted her album “may come more sooner than later when the right time comes.”

Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger is set to launch her movie career. The bombshell has revealed that she’s currently in negotiations to star in an upcoming biopic of Filipino boxer Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao.

The beauty had earlier made a brief appearance in 2003’s Love Don’t Cost a Thing. “I’ve been given the Manny Pacquiao script so we’ll see what happens with that… if I’m going to be part of that in any way it will be a blessing,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying to America’s ABS-CBN television.

The Filipino star is a big fan of Pacquiao and intends to support him by singing his country’s national anthem at one of the sport star’s future fights.

“(It) would be an honour to sing the national anthem. So, let’s make that happen! I’m so proud of him. I’ve been following him,” she said.
